A Victorian black slate clock garniture, the clock case of architectural form with scrolling volutes to the pediment and interplay of protruding dial and recessed panels, fluting, and incised and parcel gilt foliate motifs upon and surrounding red ground panels, the garnitures similarly designed and each surmounted by a wide slate tazza, the clock dial with black chapter ring and Roman hours, signed R. HESLOP PARIS, the movement stamped A F with medaille d'or and numbered 2335, with twin-striking action on gongs, the clock case 44cm high, 46.5cm wide, 20cm deep, the garnitures each 31.5cm high, 21cm wide, 14cm deep (3)
