1/- & 2/- Charge Marks / Irish Famine Relief. 1847-48 Entire letter and part letter from the Irish Relief Committee in New York, to the Irish Relief Committee of the Society of Friends in Dublin, concerning shipments of bread, flour and corn, one with a "1/-" charge mark and unusual split circle inspectors mark, the other a double weight letter with the very scarce "2/-" charge mark (M.72), only recorded 1847-48.
