WW1 CB neck badge, CMG neck badge, 1914-15 Star trio with MID oakleaf, 1935 Jubilee Medal and 1937 Coronation Medal to Lt Col H.L. Eason R.A.M.C. good very fine or better. CB and CMG in Garrard boxes of issue, last 5 swing mounted as worn in Spink presentation box with matching set of 7 swing mounted miniatures in box below (miniature CB missing centre).
The CB was announced in the London Gazette dated 1st January 1919 "For valuable services rendered in connection with Military Operations in Egypt."
The CMG was announced in the London Gazette dated 1st January 1917 "For valuable services rendered in connection with Military Operations in the Field."
He was educated at University College, London and Guy's Hospital, commissioned 13/9/15 and served as Consulting Ophthalmic Surgeon to the Forces in the Mediterranean and Egypt, post war was Dean of the Medical School and Warden of University College, London, Vice-Chancellor University of London 1935-37, Principal University of London 1937-41, President of the General Medical Council and knighted for his services to medicine June 1943.
