An exhibition quality Japanese shibayama, lacquer and ivory fan, Meiji period, depicting the seven gods of good fortune, around two trays, one with peony and blossom, the other with food and fruits, inlaid with tortoiseshell, mother of pearl, polished stones and enamel, the reverse with Quail by a meandering stream and vegetation, the guards with two boys, the rear guard with a crane and insect above plant life, with white metal suspension loop with filigree floral decoration, the tassel with shibayama ojime, 65cm open, 35cm closed
