A LATE 17TH CENTURY OAK COFFER hinged lid over triple panel front, framed with inlay, raised on stile end supports, 158cm x 56cm x 67cm high
Overall age of wear, dents, splits, stains, marks, the twin panel top is separating, there is a central patch (possibly to unite the planks) and patch at centre back, back left and right of the lid have been canted off, some losses and lifting of inlay to front, various marks, dents etc. to sides, back is a nice hewn timber, modern blocks of wood, back feet, replaced hinges, added pieces of wood in the internal corners to strengthen, looks to be original boarded base.
