A smokebox numberplate 30223, from a London & South Western Railway O2 Class 0-4-4T No 223 built at Nine Elms in 1892 and allocated to Plymouth by 1896. Became Southern Railway 223 in 1923 and renumbered BR 30223 in November 1950. Latterly allocated to Dorchester and Bournemouth before moving to Eastleigh in the mid-1950's. Withdrawn from there in October 1961 and scrapped in December at the nearby works. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
