COLLECTION OF AFRICAN TRIBAL SPEARS. A collection of circa late 19th century/early 20th century African tribal spears, forged iron heads, some leaf shaped, some barbed, others a combination of both, wooden shafts, several spears have twisted iron bands to the shafts, there is also a large spear head without a shaft, the characteristics of the spears would suggest an origin possibly in south Sudan/North Congo, shortest spear from tip of spear head to heel of shaft 147 cm, longest, 179 cm, (12 spears, 1 spear head).
Surface rust to metal components of spears, wooden shafts dry with some splits in surface of wood in places.
