A LARGE ANTIQUE MOURNING BROOCH, of oval form, the brooch contains a centrepiece of elaborately arranged hair in a stylised Prince of Wales feather design. Also included are pieces of fine twist-wire. The hair and the gold wire decoration are mounted on a mother-of-pearl background (cracks as photographed, this mother of pearl has a beautiful pink reflect when in the light).
