1885-92 SUAKIN CAMPAIGN: Indian "Soldiers' & Seamens' Envelope" embossed 9 pies surcharged 1 anna from a Field Pay Officer (countersigned Captain, Field Paymaster, Suakin Force) to Poona. Env is cancelled with "BASE OFFICE/B" c.d.s. dated 4 Jul. 1896. On reverse are Aden transit & Poona arrival marks.
