98th Regiment of Foot Victorian Victorian glengarry badge c. 1874-81. Good scarce die-stamped brass crowned strap inscribed REGIMENT ; 98 to voided centre. Brass loops North & South. VGC In 1876 the title "Prince of Wales's" was conferred on the Regiment. Became 2nd Bn. North Staffordshire Regt. on Friday 1st July 1881. Provenance. Ex Hugh King Collection, Bosleys.
