A works numberplate, No 62057 1948, from a Peppercorn K1 Class 2-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26661, and which entered traffic at Darlington on 30 November 1949. Its later sheds were Haverton Hill, York and North Blyth from where it was withdrawn on 1 May 1967 and sold for scrap to Arnott Young at Dinsdale. Engraved brass, 12"x6½", the front lightly polished.
