A late 19th century French mantle clock with porcelain face. The clock featuring pediment with brass gallery surround, the pediment with porcelain panel featuring a bird on a branch, this raised over squared porcelain clock face in brass frame. The clock face with hand painted Arabic numerals to dial, 8-day movement and birds and sparrows on naturalistic painted background. Twin brass columns with urn shaped top over bobbin turned base. The whole thing over squared base raised on four feet. Marked to movement Japy Freres. Complete with winder.
