circa 1775 of octagonal form, with a hinged lid opening to reveal a lead-lined fitted interior, the exterior with carrying handles and flame-figured panels, the stand with a fluted frieze on moulded square tapering legs with "C"-scroll corner brackets and moulded block feet with castors, 74cm high x 47.5cm wide
Provenance: Ven House, Milborne Port, and the base with a label inscribed "Ven House".
