An uncommon Caughley porcelain 'Birds in Branches' coffee pot and cover, circa 1780-85, of baluster form, transfer-printed in underglaze blue, with indented strap handle and projecting thumbrest, the domed cover with floral knop, C with serif mark, 22cm high (minor damage) Although this pattern is not rare, it is scarcely seen on coffee wares, and coffee pots are rarer still. As such, a similar coffee pot was sold at these rooms in 2010 for £800. Condition:Nibbles and associated hairline to spout, Y-shaped hairline to base
