POST OFFICE MISCELLANY: A carton containing three albums covering a variety of subjects relative to the Post Office. Two volumes comprise a variety of themes with leaflets, pamphlets & labels such as re-directed packets (1876), special delivery, signed for, economy, fragile, COD, re-direction, & a complete PO book of certificate of posting labels. Also a volume comprises of mail which has been ruined by people or machinery e.g. ambulance cover with contents;stamps removed or torn; torn by letter sorting machinery. Mainly modern but some early noted (several 100).
