† Lucy Kemp-Welch (1869 - 1958), The Happy Autumn Fields, signed, oil on board, 44.5 x 59 cm, framed 65 x 80 cm 'British Impressionism Summer 2000' Exhibition David Messum label verso. The painting has been recently cleaned and varnished. Some areas of the varnish appear cloudy under UV light (especially bottom left and foreground horses). There is also an area of paint loss to the bottom left that is not varnished, given a white appearance. Possibly some overpainting to the clouds top right. Some slight overpainting bottom right visible under UV. Gesso on the frame now cracking, with one small area missing on the bottom left. Floral decorative moulding to the bottom right has been repaired with some slight losses.
