Charles II (1660-1685), Halfcrowns, fourth draped bust right, toothed border both sides, legend surrounds CAROLVS II DEI GRATIA. Rev, crowned cruciform shields, interlinked pairs of Cs in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, reads MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX. 1676 vicesimo octavo, 1679 Tricesimo primo, 1682 Tricesimo quarto (S.3367; Bull.471/480/493). The 1679 a bold fine if not
nearer very fine in places, others fine. 1682 recorded as very rare in the halfcrown series (3).
