1st century A.D Roman various size iron nails with tapering square-section spikes and flattened heads from Roman Legionary Fortress at Inchtuthil, Perthshire, Scotland A.D 83-87 as excavated by Professor I.A Richmond F.B.A and F.S.A Oxford University and sold through the Iron and Steel Institute London. The Romans hid 7-tons of iron nails from the Caledonians who valued it more than silver and gold. Housed in a wooden collector's display case with sliding lid and identification label, measuring approx. 16cm x 35.5cm.
