A tin glazed earthenware syrup jar, late 19th or early 20th century, of ovoid form with painted blue and white decoration and 'SU.D POMIS' around the body, the spout with painted cherub below, Christie's label to base, 27cm high (at fault); with two further syrup jars, 23.5cm high and 21cm high; and a pharmacy jar with painted label 'CRETA PRAEP', Christie's label to base, 20cm high, lacking cover (4)

PROVENANCE: We are advised by the vendor that these four pieces were purchased as one lot from Christies in 1999 (lot 292, sale date unknown).
