Local Interest, The Cromford Canal, Derbyshire - a George III ink MS letter, addressed from William Fillingham at Flawborough, Nottinghamshire, to Francis Evans, Esq., Nottingham, and thanking its recipient for his "obliging Letter respecting the Eastwood Inclosure (sic)" and stating that "[u]rgent business requires my attendance at Newark on Wednesday next, which I fear will prevent my being at the meeting for the Cromford Canal until late in the afternoon", dated 8th January, 1790, the exterior with a postmark for Newark and with the red wax seal (now broken), 23.5cm x 19cm, mounted for display, the mount applied with a collection label: The Earliest Known Written Communication From Fraser Brown Solicitors, 1790, [1]
