The paint surface shows craquelure, surface wear and wear forming vertical lines, suggesting that liquid has run down the surface of the canvas at some point in the past. Examination under UV shows no evidence of restoration. The frame appears to be structurally sound, but shows some losses to the moulded details and rubbing to the gilt finish.
