£12,000
Good English thirty hour hook and spike verge wall clock, the 7.75" square brass dial signed Johannes Knibb Oxon Fecit on the dial plate beneath six o'clock, the silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with two blued steel hands and with finely cast spandrels, the posted frame movement with four fine turned brass finned pillars and good quality thin wheels, within a contemporary bespoke made ebonised glazed case with barley twist pillars surmounted by a flat moulded stepped cornice over a blind carved frieze, 18" high (pendulum)
** Having closely inspected this clock we would make the following observations:
-The brass movement plates vary in thickness
-The wear on the pinions would appear to be correct for age
-The bell and bell stand match with pear shaped hole fitting
Condition excellent, but back cock replaced, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised
