A brass inkwell of Celtic design, late 19th/early 20th c, the back with cast back centred on a roundel filled with dragon, flowerheads and leafage flanked by relief cast dragons beneath quatrefoil filled square panels, the corner posts cast as dragon heads, the railed sides with animal terminals, the base pierced and cast with Celtic and other strapwork, pair of circular lidded wells with conforming pen tray flanked by four fluted hoof feet set scrolls to the knees, 12cm h; 31 x 18cm
