J M Barrie - Peter and Wendy, pub London Hodder and Stoughton n.d (1911), with no publishing dates to the reverse of title page, denoting a 1st edition, illustrated by F D Bedford, all illustrations complete including title page and frontis. This being the COLONIAL EDITION, and is much less common than the standard 1st edition variant, indicated by the presence of white decoration to the front panel and spine rather than the standard gilt as normally seen with the green and blue variants or the 1st edition, presenting with an Italian retailers label pasted to the front free end paper. Boards clean and well preserved front panel extremely clean, some loss of white decoration to the spine area, binding tight, some foxing in varying degrees, previous owners name has been clipped from the front free end paper and first blank leaf.
