A typed transcript of the Diary of Lady Lettice Mary Elizabeth Grosvenor (1876-1936) daughter of Victor Alexander Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor, and sister of Bendor, 2nd Duke Of Westminster, covering the period February 1886 to June 1888, with a hand written note, probably by Lady Lettice's daughter Lady Sibell Rowley, identifying some of the people referred to in the diary, and a transcript of The Independent's obituary of Lady Sibell by Jane Mulvagh, all contained in a file box (box at fault)

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Lady Lettice Mary Elizabeth Grosvenor married the 7th Earl Beauchamp in 1902 and became Countess Beauchamp. They lived at Madresfield Court, Malvern, and were often visited by the novelist Evelyn Waugh. Waugh used Madresfield Court as his model for Brideshead and Earl Beauchamp as a model for Lord Marchmain in his novel 'Brideshead Revisited'.
