W. Avery & Sons - The Louise - A 19th century Victorian circa. 1870's brass flat needle case. The case having central repousse bouquet and urn motif with ribbon banner to surround to read 'The Louise' Needle Case, W. Avery & Sons of Redditch'. Slide and fold movement opening to reveal needle booklets with numbered cartouche. Patent no. 1473. Named after Queen Victoria's fourth daughter, Princess Louise Caroline Roberta who was artistically talented and attended the National Art Training School. Measures approx 100mm when unfolded.
