A mid 19c mahogany cistern barometer signed Thos. Jones & Sons, 62 Charing Cross. The round top case has register plates for the barometer and the Fahrenheit thermometer which sits beside it. The barometer scale has a manual vernier and the glass tube has a tubular mahogany cover. The cistern cover is semi-spherical and has an adjusting screw beneath. The barometer is 93cm tall overall.
Both the tube and the thermometer seem to be in working order and the mahogany case and the ivory plates are in good condition/.
