A VERY FINE 18TH CENTURY IRISH SILVER BASKET, the beautifully crafted piece is decorated all over with scrolling foliage & floral blossom decoration, with a reeded swing handle to the top. Raised on a graduated column support with oval shaped base finished with reeded detail to the edge. To the base Dublin hallmarks, with date letter of ‘Y’ for 1795, maker’s mark of GW for George West. 17.5 x 11 x 12cm (W x H x D). Total weight: 7.5ozt.
