A scarce WWII RAF Historic service dress jacket of Mark Evelyn Redgrave. Squadron Leader Redgrave was in command of Wellington Bomber R1323 of 405 Squadron when it took off from RAF Alconbury on 11th June 1941. It was shot down the next day by a Kriegsmarine flak ship and crash landed in the sea of Hellevoetsluis Holland. His crew of 6 was incarcerated in Stalag Luft 3 Sagan and Belaria 12th June 1941. The jacket has label of J.C. Plumb 117 Victoria St Westminster and is marked "M.E. Redgrave 6-38", M.E. Regrave was Acting Pilot Officer 8.9.1937, Pilot Officer 31.5.1938. the jacket has KC brass buttons, breast wings and cuff insignia to Squadron Leader. GC (some minor mothing). £300-400
