WW2 U.S. Medic casualty's M-1 helmet and liner, shell with white textured paint with large Red Cross to front, back and sides, DENARDO stencilled to front in white letters on black background, inside of shell with number 32837850 stencil painted in red figures, liner with some damage, webbing chinstrap, about very fine. Pvt Benedetto De Nardo was killed in action with 319th Medical Battalion on 22nd March 1945 near Ludwigsghafen am Rhein and is buried in American War Cemetery, Luxembourg. With information board produced by vendor which includes photo of his headstone, he enlisted in Syracuse, New York 9/2/43. Also with small Purple Heart & Stars & Stripes flags. (See photo) (B)
