£90
Pair of Victorian mahogany hall chairs, circa 1860, carved backs centred with a scallop shell, over a solid seat and turned forelegs, height 84cm, width 42cm
One seat has a split running through the centre left to right. The same chair has a repair to the lower ear of the back; this is an old repair but infill can be seen (see images). There are the usual small knocks to the forelegs consistent with age and wear to the underside of the feet, again consistent with use. Both chairs remain sturdy and have good colour and are nicely patinated.
