A MID 19TH CENTURY DOUBLE FUSEE REPEATING GIANT CARRIAGE CLOCK the patinated bronze rococo style case with dolphin handle and caryatid corners enclosing a signed gilt floral engraved dial with Roman numerals fronting a signed eight-day chain-driven double fusee movement with original compensated lever escapement, Harrison maintaining power and rack strike on a gong with trip repeat cord. An article on this clock was published in "A Century of Fine Carriage Clocks" by Joseph Fanelli. (22.5cm high handle up)
