1872 French Chassepot Bayonet. Single edged Yataghan blade with large fuller. The hilt with steel hook quillon, muzzle ring and brass ribbed grip. Steel locking spring and stud. Housed in its steel scabbard. The back of the blade with ordinance stamps and date 1872. Pitting to the scabbard and crossguard.
