A good example, the single edged curved blade with engraved decoration incorporating a Crowned GR cypher and Royal coat of arms. The hilt of the regulation pattern with lion head pommel supporting a single bar guard with crowned GR cypher. The shagreen grip retaining twist wire binding. Housed in original black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. The top mount with frog button and loose ring. Engraved with the cutler’s details of “Prosser ” the middle band again with loose ring. Overall GC gilt worn to base metal. Scabbard tight blade no longer fully fits. Blade length 29 inches.
