RARE G.B. 10d RED-BROWN OFFICER's RATE COVER TO JULLUNDUR REDIRECTED WITH INDIA 1a BROWN; Attractive 18 Aug. 1869 env. (minor edge wear) routed "Via Marseilles" to Jullundur franked by the elusive 1867 10d Red-Brown (SG113/J97 - high cat. on cover) tied by a very fine "LANARK/215" Duplex for the special 10d Officers' Concession Rate (after the 1s-1d rate had started from 1 Mar. 1868). with a very fine small oval Aden-Bombay "SEA POST OFFICE" ds on the reverse. The letter was then redirected to "Camp Doamderah (?)" and so additionally franked by an India 1a Brown tied by a mainly very fine "JULLUNDUR/20" Duplex. Rare 10d Red-Brown cover -possibly unique with this Indian stamp used for redirection. Exhibition Item.
