Very rare genuine Victorian fancy dress gable hood made out of real red velvet and gold thread most likely would have been used for one of the large fancy dress parties in the Victorian era, we were informed by the vendor that it's purported some of the hood may have been made from much earlier recycled materials, the hood has the classic gable design and displays very nicely as is shown by our auctioneer Ben, the hood has a height of 26cm width 25cm depth 20cm display bust is not included
