Royal Doulton Slater’s Studio Pottery Stoneware - Gorgeous c. 1900 large vase decorated with gilded florals and leaves, shoulder with folded trailing vine with upright stylised fern leaves below. This vase features an innovative form of decoration using textured lace impressed on the surface of clay, developed and patented by John Slater. Slater (1844-1914) was the art director oat Doulton & Co in Burselm from 1887 until his death. He had studied at the local Stoke-on-Trent School of Design. Marks on base feature Doulton circle mark with crown and lion; artist’s mark signature of employee artists Olive Dale and L Francis. Numbered ‘4461’ Stands at approximately 12” high. plus King’s Ransom Whiskey Bottle & Decorative E&A Bockling Spirit Jug- Collectible King’s Ransom whiskey bottle, ‘round the world.’ Appriximately 18 x 22cm. Produced by William Whiteley & Co, distillers in Scotland, c. 1960s. In excellent condition with original stopper. (3)
