A 19TH CENTURY ORDANCE SURVEY MAP OF WATERFORD: FROM THE COLLECTION OF DONERAILE COURT, this is one map from of a complete collection of Lord Donerailes personal maps of Cork and Waterford, likely used as hunting maps. This cloth fold-out map with backing is no 39 out of 1-40 maps of Waterford and covers areas surrounding Mine Head, such as Ballynamona, Ballymacart, Ballycurreen, etc. This map is ‘Sheet 39’ from the leather cased ‘Ordance Survey of Ireland; Waterford; Sheets 28 to 40 & index’. The leather case is in the form of a book and is impressed with Doneraile coat of arms and reads ‘Lord Doneraile’ in gilt lettering. Please note this map is from this leather case but the case is not included. Dimensions: 96cm x 66cm when opened.
