Politicians. A group of nine pencil caricatures of various politicians, circa late 1930s, each signed by the illustrated politician, including Edward Wood (Lord Halifax), Malcolm MacDonald, Samuel Hoare, George Lansbury, Robbert Vansittart, Arthur Greenwood, John Simon, Herbert Morrison, largest sheet size 15cm x 25cm approx., These was drawn by James Hodson when he was a young teenager in the late 1930s. He would draw various caricatures of celebrities and politicians, then send them in the hope of getting the subject to sign and return the caricature. He was obviously a very talented young artist which many celebrities of the day were happy to oblige his request of a signature.
