Mercedes S 280 (2.8L), 1973, Auto, 4 door saloon, showing 60,149 (unverified) miles, brown with light brown Mex-Tex interior, taxed 04/21. This is the last year of production for this model and has many of the much rarer W109 model extras including air conditioning, electric power windows and air suspension.
The car is running and driving and appears solid but does need a full repaint and some re-commissioning. The very special front bumper is in great condition (these cost €2,500 alone!) and the rest of the chrome needs a polish. Engine and gearbox are working as they should with no obvious leaks. Front wheel arch panels and front window corners are showing surface rust but they are not gone too far. The interior seating is also in good condition however the dash needs a little attention to bring back to its former glory. Overall the car appears straight and honest for its 47 years and is a perfect winter project.
