A worksplate, GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY, GORTON, 1913. Locos built by the GCR in 1913 (LNER classes) were D10 4-4-0s named after company board members, B2(later B19) 4-6-0s named after cities served by the railway, the first B8 4-6-0 named Glenalmond and a batch of O4 2-8-0s. This style of plate was used with most classes except the D10s. Cast brass, 9¾"x5¼", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
