Anglo-Saxon: Offa, a large fragment of a portrait type silver penny of Canterbury, moneyer EOBA, which when assessed by Marion Archibald of the British Museum in 1993 was deemed to have an unrecorded obverse. General type S.905. 16mm, 0.82g. Details VF. About 70% of the coin is present. Comes with letter, photographs and provenance - found metal-detecting in Effingham near Guildford, Surrey.
