A Historically significant Navaho Native American turquoise and sterling silver double necklace.
This piece of jewellery was initially purchased in 1964 in Albuquerque, USA. At the time the local NAVAHO
“INDIANS” were commemorating the centenary of the LONG WALK, when in 1864 the mass body of Navaho
numbering 8,000 adults & children were marched 300 miles, on the “Long Walk” to imprisonment in Bosque
Redondo.
