A VERY FINELY CRAFTED GEORGIAN LATE 18TH CENTURY SOLID SILVER SAUCE BOAT BY JOHN LANGLANDS I, with a floating double scroll handle & punch-mark gadrooned rim, raised on a tripod foot, with shell detail to the knees. In excellent condition, nice clear hallmarks to the base. Newcastle, date letter of ‘M’ for 1778. Maker’s mark of I.L with a circle for John Langlands I. Dimensions: 13 x 6.5 x 7cm (L x W x H).
