A rare Bing L'Antonio tinplate clockwork powered Warship. Approximately 52cm in length, height to top of one funnel 14cm. An example for restoration, has been over painted, hull had a few dents and parts are missing. The deck cover/funnels/propeller are still in place and the clockwork motor is in working order. The rudder is a later replacement. QGC In need of full restoration. Comes with a note from the original owner stating that 'the boat was rescued from Danson Park Lake Bexley London on September 5th 1940'. The Lake was drained as it was considered to be a pointer towards London.' Plus an old Newspaper cutting with a picture of a similar boat. £300-500
