The paint surface shows no obvious craquelure. The board shows a fine vertical indentation approximately 4cm long descending from the top edge - this is filled with paint and is therefore likely to have been on the board before the work was started. Examination under UV shows no evidence of restoration. The frame appears to be structurally sound, showing minor wear to the surface finish. The cream inner mount shows some staining.
