A large Chinese Canton (Guangzhou) decorated famille rose bowl, c.1830-50, typically painted to panels with figures amid pavilions, birds, butterflies, flowers and fruit to the interior and exterior, 39.2cm diameter
Typical minor glaze and firing imperfections, some wear to the gilding on the rim, the interior and exterior. There are a few burst glaze bubbles/small glaze losses to the edge of the rim and a small chip measuring 12mm x 3mm to the edge of the rim, some wear to the enamel on the interior, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or cracks detected.
