A late 19th century embroidered firescreen, the painted ground embroidered and appliqued in detail with satin stitch, applied feathers and lace, finely painted under, depicting Schiller teaching on Die Rauber in the Bopswerwald Forrest nr Stuttgard, with names below, after a sketch by Victor Heideloff (1757-1816) image 91 by 73cm, whole 152cm high.
