EXTRAORDINARY G.B. 1/- GREEN COVER TWICE REDIRECTED WITH INDIA ½a BLUE ADDED IN TWO TOWNS; Colourful 28 Sept. 1871 env. routed "Via Brindisi" to Allahabad franked by 1867 1/- Deep Green (pl.5; SG115/J105) tied by a very fine "DEVIZES/249" Duplex (part overlapped by Indian ½a), redirected first to "Moradabad" and then to "Nyneetal", each time having an India ½a Blue applied - the first tied by a mainly fine "ALAHABAD" Duplex (as well as by a small oval "N.W.P./No.2" T.P.O. d.s.), the second tied by a partly fine "MOORADABAD" Duplex. Remarkable; we cannot recall having seen another cover with Indian stamps added for two separate redirections like this. Exhibition Item.
