A George III late 18th century West Country marquetry inlaid mahogany cased moon phase longcase grandfather's clock by H. M. & W. Wakley, Bridgwater. The clock having a a bow top hood with gilt painted shaped finials atop over a glazed door. Silvered 8 day movement clock face with Arabic & Roman numerals to chapter ring. Subsidiary seconds panel & calendar aperture below. Hand painted moon phase atop reading Moons Age. The clock with a front central door intricately inlaid with floral swags and urns motifs. Inlaid squared base below with shaped feet. Measures approx. 220cm x 43cm x 24cm.
